Group Improv Fusion Belly Dance Level 1 (Beginner)
Discover the basics of Group Improv Fusion Belly Dance in our energy packed Level 1 classes! Each session kicks off with a warm-up and detailed technique practice, including lots of follow-along drills. In weeks two through four, we delve into formations and finger cymbal techniques. Join us to build a solid foundation in this unique dance style.
Week One
Dance Posture, Basic Arm Sweeps.
Slow Vocabulary: Figure 8 (Taxeem), Hand Floreo, Introduction to layering concepts.
Fast Vocabulary: Swivel Step (Egyptian step) & ½ turn. Drill 3 foot positions of all steps.
Week Two
Slow Vocabulary: Arm Undulations, Reverse Turn.
Fast Vocabulary: Pivot Bump/Choo Choo, Introduction to flock of bird’s concept. Basic Finger cymbal technique & drills.
Duet formation introduction.
Week Three
Slow Vocabulary: Bodywave
Fast Vocabulary: Arabic step (Rhythmic Undulation), & Basic Finger cymbal technique with drills.
Trio formation introduction.
Week Four
Slow Vocabulary: Circle Step. Drill all of the slow steps covered this month.
Fast Vocabulary: Shimmy Step, Drill all fast steps covered this month with Basic Finger cymbal technique.
Quartet formation introduction.

Practice the basic movements with minimal talking and lots of drilling, so you can build the strong muscle memory!
Group Improv Fusion Belly Dance Level 2 (Intermediate)
Once you've grasped the basics in Level 1 of Group Improv Fusion Belly Dance, take your skills further with Level 2. Over four (or five) classes, we'll dive into intermediate techniques, drills, and transitions. Get ready for plenty of group dancing and playing finger cymbals, with everyone getting a chance to lead and follow. Level 2 pairs well with continuing Level 1 for an immersive experience!
